Abstract

Despite the introduction of modern progressive methods in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease (ischemic heart disease, coronary heart disease), the highest share of death and disability caused by cardiovascular pathology falls on it, and this disease itself ranks first in the world in terms of mortality rate.

Material and methods: 117 patients with silent ischemia participated in the study, clinical material of 68 patients was used as control. Laboratory and instrumental research methods were used. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 23.

Results:

Patients with moderate dilatation had a significantly higher frequency of the following features compared to the control group: ventricular extrasystoles (respectively: 41% and 58%, p=0.0262), ST ↓ or ST ↑ (respectively: 16% and 48%, p<0.0001), positive Stress test - (respectively: 29% and 74%, p<0.0001), low exercise tolerance (respectively: 40% and 70%, p<0.0001), more than 50% stenosis of any coronary artery (respectively: 13% and 50 %, p<0.0001), from 30 to 50% stenosis (respectively: 10% and 23%, p=0.0305)

Patients with moderate dilatation had a significantly lower frequency of intact coronary arteries compared to the control group (76% and 11%, respectively, p<0.0001).

Conclusion:

Thus, moderate dilatation of the left ventricle can be used for the initial diagnosis of asymptomatic ischemia.
