The digital transformation of traditional technologies is an absolute innovation. This applies to all sectors, but its effect on healthcare is particularly significant, as this sector serves to ensure maximum health for people throughout their lives.
The article - "The use of digital technologies in medical care for patients in the mountainous regions of Georgia" - shows how important telemedicine is for the medical care of the population of the mountainous regions of Georgia. The fact is that the mountainous regions of Georgia lack doctors on site. This is caused by impassable roads, great distance from the center, etc. Digital technologies have replaced a highly qualified doctor at the patient's place of residence. This is easily done by a specialist with a digital device.
The article describes the origin and development of telemedicine in Georgia and abroad. It provides information about its implementation in the mountainous regions of Georgia, as well as the results of a survey of patients there on the suitability of telemedicine.
