Abstract

Syphilis is an infectious disease characterized by a chronic and relapsing course. It is primarily transmitted sexually. It can also be transmitted from mother to child during the pregnancy. Therefore, early detection of the disease is crucial to prevent complications that may arise from syphilis infection in pregnant women, which would consequently lead to fetal infection and the development of a range of pathological changes.
