The search and use of new and alternative sources of energy is an echo of the goals of sustainable development. Along with the expansion of the world economy, the demand for energy is increasing, which gives an important role to renewable energy resources in the background of the limited resources of the planet. It includes wind and solar energy, hydro, tidal/sea, geothermal and bio energy. The high interest in renewable energy is caused not only by economic, but also by political, ecological and social factors. This issue is becoming increasingly relevant, especially for developing countries, including Georgia.
