Abstract

Sustainable development is considered as one of the important factors for the survival of the world. Therefore, the UN and the governments of its member countries are making efforts to significantly improve the quality of life of the population by 2030, and this will happen through the mutually harmonized development of the economic, social and ecological components of sustainable development. Along with this, in the course of fulfilling the global and national goals of the period of sustainable development until 2030, many unforeseen events were revealed, which are definitely noteworthy for the fulfillment of the above-mentioned ambitious goals. In preparing this publication, the authors tried to identify the following problems:

  • In order to solve the phenomenon of sustainable macroeconomic development and its conceptual-methodological problems, the component of sustainable macroeconomic development has been introduced into its concept, as well as, on the example of Georgia, its quantitative assessment methodology has been researched and analyzed;
  • In the conditions of the functioning of the new economy, a proposal is proposed to introduce new macro indicators, which will better characterize the macroeconomic picture of the country and the future contours of sustainable development.
