Some aspects of cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and NATO

Abstract

The article discusses the main aspects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and one of the largest and most important organizations in Europe and in the world - NATO. The author emphasizes the importance of the strategy and the steps taken in this direction by the leadership of Azerbaijan, in particular, Presidents Heydar Aliyev and Ilham Aliyev, who made an unparalleled contribution to the establishment and development of bilateral cooperation, drawing attention to the activities of President Ilham Aliyev to diversify bilateral relations. At the same time, it is emphasized that the process of integration between Azerbaijan and the Alliance has accelerated after the approval and submission of the "Action Plan for Individual Partnership". In addition, the article notes the successful participation of Azerbaijan in peacekeeping operations, the broading cooperation in other areas, such as science and education, which have become a priority of the 21st century.
