A method to study knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP Survey)

Fundamentals of the Knowledge, Attittude and Practice - KAP Survey are presented. The history of developing of the method is mentioned. Based on the literature review advantages and disadvantages of KAP survey are presented. It is described in details how to perform the KAP survey, starting from the developing of the different parts (knowledge, attitude, practice) of the questionnaire, including its validation and adaptation, sampling, analysis and reporting. Modern applications of the KAP survey method in medicine are listed.
