The article provides a comparative analysis of the labour inspection legislation of Georgia and France, with special emphasis on the functions of occupational safety specialists, on employers' obligations and control mechanisms. Laws, official documents, reports of international organizations, and academic literature are analyzed. The Georgian and French labour inspection models and challenges that exist in the practice of implementing occupational health and safety are compared.
