Abstract

One of the challenges of the 21st century is the influence of the working environment on human mental health. The aim of the study was to reveal the characteristics of risk factors causing occupational stress and mental health disorders of employees in the workplace of medical personnel employed in the hospital sector. The results of the survey were analyzed taking into account age, gender, work position, working experience in the profession. The research found that almost 40% of respondents employed in the hospital sector are on the verge of depression or have a severe form of depression. As professional risks of the work environment for mental health, we can consider the following: remuneration inconsistent with responsible work (63%), lack of opportunity to rest and timely and full use of vacation (58.7%), busy work schedule (28.3) and - conflicts in the workplace and skeptical attitude to the future (33-33%).
