In the current conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, a new challenge has emerged in relation to the health of pregnant women and newborns. The aim of our work was to determine the significance of the illness of a pregnant woman with COVID-19 as a risk factor delaying the development of the fetus. The study was prospective, targeted, controlled, observational-analytical. According to our data (preliminary results) in the antenatal period, the morbidity of a pregnant woman with COVID 19 often leads to premature birth, the birth of a newborn with a small mass, congenital pathologies compared to the non-covid pregnancy.
