Abstract

The presented paper describes the negation system in Georgian Sign Language (GESL) exposing the proper examples for each case. In GESL negation is conveyed by the following four types of lexical-grammatical forms:

  • Negative particles;
  • Negative grammatical elements;
  • Negative modal verbs/words;
  • Negative words (nothing, nobody. Never, etc)
