The present paper „Representation of Collective Memory and Trauma in the Texts of Mario Vargas Llosa and Shorena Lebanidze will show a comparative study based on the text "The Feast of The Goat" and "Tu Sachiroa, Gatqmevinebt"(If necessary, I Will Make You Speak). The purpose of the research is to highlight the impact of cultural trauma on the formation of collective memory in society, the role of recalling individual past experiences in the process of formation of specific social identity and the sense of self-establishment for individuals, and how all these affects the social memory formed in the present.
As a result of the comparison of the characteristic elements of the forms of totalitarian government described in the works, the common characteristics of the sovereign systems are highlighted, and the impacts that may be occurred on public welfare.
