Abstract

A calculation is given for a prefabricated cylindrical tank of piecewise constant thickness, covered by a hemispherical dome, with circular hinges along the guides. Thickness values that satisfy the strength and rigidity conditions are found.

Sh. E. Mikeladze's theory is used to construct a discontinuous solution to the resolving differential equation of the problem.
